Incense Blends
Desert Fathers Blend: In honor
of the desert fathers of ancient Egypt, and Africa. When He comes, shall He find faith on
earth? 'Nuff said! This blend is made from the purest Eritrean frankincense (white) and
Ethiopian myrrh, and then blended with believe it or not, Africa's only rose: The Ethiopian
Rosa Abyssinica ( a white desert rose) and Hagenia, a purple fragrant native flower. This
resin blend is colored white, to symbolize the purity of heart that is necessary to achieve
true humility. This blend and it's purchase also honors our friends at www.desertcalling.com.

Axum Blend: The city where the Ark of the Covenant is
still housed, is the name of our flagship blend. It is composed of Ethiopian frankincense and
myrrh, blended with the finest oils of Rose Absolute and other florals. This recipe is
centuries old and is still in use today by Ethiopian Orthodox monasteries, indeed, in Orthodox
monasteries throughout the middle east, the Mediterranean, the Balkans, Russia, in short: the
Entire Orthodox World. Tonal Quality: Tradition. Incense is colored with natural gold
powder.Available in 1oz, 3oz quantities.
Beloved Bob
Marley Blend: It is widely known that Bob converted to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church
shortly before his death. We simply wanted to honor him and his legacy of brotherhood. This
blend is left to Bob's favourite colour: black! It is a black Ethiopian frankincense, blended
with oil of pure myrrh, with the tiniest touch of Jamaican plum. It is cured for 60 days but
the resin is left to it's natural "pebble" like state. It is not formed into blocks, but is
left the way Bob would want it. This is a very natural, earthy scent, no "sissy" about it.
Bob Marley believed, as we Orthodox do, that racism is a spiritual disease and that it can
only be cured by Love from Above. Available in 1oz, 3oz quantities.
Mt. Athos
Blend: Mt. Athos Blend: It is said that Mt. Athos is Mary's garden. This blend is
for her, heavy in top-note florals and rich in the kingly gifts the Magi brought to her Child,
frankincense and myrrh. This is a very traditional scent, for the purist. Many people have
come to our booth saying, "You smell like Church!" They often leave with a piece of Mt.
Athos, the Holy Mountain in their pocket.Available in 1oz, 3oz quantities.
Iona: The Holy Island of St. Columba Named for the wild
reaches of the northern "deserts" of the British Islands, where monks and nuns changed the
world with their prayers, and their particular style of Celtic Orthodox spirituality. Only a
life of extreme asceticism could produce the excruciatingly beautiful illuminated manuscripts
that came from the hands of these monastics. When Gerald of Wales, a writer of the period,
traveled there in the 12th century and held the Book of Kells, he recorded in his diary which
survives today, "...you might say that this was the work of an Angel and not of a man..."
Many believe the Book of Kells to have been written by St. Columba himself.
This is a very woody blend: it's base is frankincense and myrrh, with top, middle and base notes of wood oils: pine, cedar and oak. Colored in light green, to symbolize the Celtic love of nature.

Stick Incense
Our stick incense is handmade from the finest, purified charcoal rolled onto the thinnest bamboo sticks we could find. They are then dipped three times, into the purest oils, to produce the finest scent. They are prayerfully made.
If you have read our FAQ page, then you know what most stick incense on the open market is. Once you try ours, you will know what we mean when we say that there simply is no comparison with ours.

These tongs are perect for dealing with smaller pieces of incense. Who wants to stick their fingers in their incense burner and get all messy? No more worries with these tongs. Also these tongs are also good for holding onto charcoal while you light it.
Pillar Style BurnersThese smoke pillars are a very safe, economical and pretty way to burn our stick incense. Made of filligreed wood, with a sturdy base. Insert the stick standing up, into the base, light and cover. The smoke escapes through the filligree making a very pretty effect. Also available in a pewter-look metal.
